These men's casual jeans are proudly made in Japan by Studio D'artisan (SDA Studio Dartisan), a brand known for exceptional craftsmanship. Inspired by the timeless five-pocket design, these jeans are characterized by their rugged 16-ounce super-slub denim, which has been dyed using Kakishibu-zome (persimmon tannin dyeing), a traditional Japanese dyeing technique. The Kakishibu-zome process gives the jeans a unique, naturally reddish-brown hue, enhanced by their textured, slubby, and uneven finish. Combining distinctive aesthetics with a classic regular-fit straight silhouette, these jeans offer a perfect blend of traditional artistry and modern casual style. These jeans are made from non-stretch, 16-ounce, 100% cotton super-slub denim with a right-hand twill construction. During the weaving process, the warp yarn is crafted by combining thick slub yarn and nep yarn of varying thicknesses, while the weft yarn features an even thicker super-slub yarn. For dyeing, the warp yarn is carefully hand-dyed by skilled artisans using the traditional Japanese technique called Kakishibu-zome (Persimmon Tannin Dyeing), while the weft yarn remains undyed. Woven on a power loom, this combination results in uniquely textured denim with a reddish-brown hue. The fabric showcases an intensely uneven, rugged, and slubby character, rich in nep, with vertical streaks and tiny tufts of white yarn protruding from the weave's surface. As part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and enhance comfort. Furthermore, these jeans also feature five belt loops, traditional Japanese "Kaki no Ha" (persimmon leaf) pattern sashiko selvedge details along the interior outseam and inside the coin pocket, a leather patch positioned on the right side of the back waistband, and decorative stitching placed on both back pockets. These jeans has a regular straight fit, button fly, authentic mid-rise, straight to the leg opening (slightly taper down to the leg opening) with classic five-pocket design.
